First Steps

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.” (John 14: 6-7)

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

• Baptism does not save us. Only faith in Jesus Christ can do that.
• Baptism does not make us a believer; it only shows that you already believe.
• Baptism is like a wedding ring; it is an outward symbol of a heart commitment.
• Baptism is going public about your faith in Jesus and communicating to the world your commitment to follow Him. It’s the next step after salvation.
